Good to Know...

Design:

On your workshop day you will be guided through layout and design, but ultimately you decide how you want your mosaic to look. But here's the secret – you don't have to be Picasso to create something amazing. Feel free to explore 'Google images' or 'Pinterest' before the workshop for inspiration. If you prefer a bit more structure, we've got examples and designs at your disposal on the day. Worried about your artistic block? Relax! Claire's here to help, and you'll be surprised at the fantastic mosaic you'll craft, regardless of your artistic background. It's a creative journey for everyone, and we're here to make sure it's a breeze!

 

Grouting:

The mosaic adhesive requires 24 hours to set, therefore finished mosaics will be grouted at home on your own time. During the workshop, Claire will guide you through the grouting process with a demonstration, providing useful tips and notes to take home. You'll receive a grout pack and all the essentials, making it an easy and valuable skill to master. 

Grouting is not just a step; it's the moment your mosaic truly comes to life.

 

Health and Safety:

We will need to wear safety glasses in the workshop, which are supplied. If you have your own please bring them or spectacles for close up work. Please wear closed in footwear due to shards of glass that do end up on the floor. If you would like to bring and snacks or refreshments, we just ask that the liquid drink containers have lids. There are a few flying tiles!

 

Timings:

Please arrive 10 minutes before the start time to settle in so we can start on time.

 

Refreshments:

We will supply tea, coffee (instant version) and cake for the workshop. If you are on a full day workshop, we will have a lunch break so please bring a packed lunch or there are plenty of shops and cafes to buy lunch on the day.
